slimdan has hit us with a great new single in the form of ‘Be Somebody’. It’s a big, bouncy cut filled with pop textures and folky melodies, which all combine effortlessly into an addictive sound. His light-hearted lyrics work perfectly within his eclectic, instantly recognisable style. He describes it as being “about me having a conversation with my teenage self. At the time it was written, I was 24 years old living in my parents’ house and musical directing bar mitzvahs.
